ClutchPoints’ 2025 Week 11 Big Ten Football Power Rankings
Four Big Ten teams have reached seven wins or more through 11 weeks of the college football season. Ohio State and Indiana remain the conference leaders and now await their College Football Playoff (CFP) ranking, which will be released on Tuesday. Meanwhile, this week’s power rankings have seen some changes below the top spots from last week.
**1. Ohio State (-)**
The Buckeyes, led by Ryan Day, secured a win in the reunion contest against Jim Knowles and his Penn State defense. Now, Ohio State awaits to find out if they will be the top-ranked team in the CFP.
**2. Indiana (-)**
The Hoosiers overcame an early slow start before dismantling Maryland 55-10. However, chatter about Curt Cignetti possibly moving to Auburn may now begin. Cignetti recently signed a massive extension to stay in Bloomington, but don’t be surprised if Auburn comes calling.
**3. Oregon (-)**
Dan Lanning has put to rest any speculation about leaving Eugene. Oregon’s defense also shut down Wisconsin’s passing game, holding them to only 86 yards in the Ducks’ victory on Saturday.
**4. Michigan (-)**
Sherrone Moore and the Wolverines survived a scare from a struggling Purdue squad. Michigan’s Bryce Underwood was held to under 150 passing yards and threw one interception, but the team pulled through.
**5. Iowa (-1)**
The Hawkeyes drop one spot as Michigan has more conference wins at this point. Iowa is set for a massive tilt at home this Saturday against No. 6 Oregon. The game will feature Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff crew but will be broadcast on CBS.
**6. USC (+2)**
The Trojans, under Lincoln Riley, maintained their composure to win inside a loud Memorial Stadium. After the win, Riley even took a jab at the Big Ten.
**7. Washington (-)**
Jedd Fisch might be fielding calls from Auburn amid rumors linking him to his alma mater Florida. Washington faces three sub-.500 opponents before closing their regular season against Oregon.
**8. Minnesota (+1)**
The Golden Gophers bounced back from their defeat at Iowa but needed overtime to edge Michigan State. Minnesota’s defense delivered an astonishing seven sacks.
**9. Illinois (+1)**
The Illini racked up 445 total yards in a dominant win over Rutgers. Bret Bielema and his team now eye a possible 9-3 finish with three unranked foes remaining on the schedule.
**10. Nebraska (-4)**
The Cornhuskers missed the chance to make a big statement with their loss to USC. Now, Nebraska must avoid being swept by Los Angeles teams when they face UCLA on Saturday.
**11. Northwestern (-)**
Northwestern is close to securing bowl eligibility in Evanston. However, David Braun and the Wildcats have back-to-back tough matchups coming up against ranked teams USC and Michigan.
**12. UCLA (-)**
A week off may have benefited UCLA following their rough outing in Bloomington. The Bruins can continue their push for bowl eligibility with a win over Nebraska.
**13. Maryland (-)**
The Terrapins’ offense has struggled to get going, scoring only 17 points against UCLA and 10 against Indiana. They have a chance to snap their four-game losing streak against another struggling conference team.
**14. Rutgers (-)**
Rutgers fell to 4-5 after a 22-point loss to Illinois. Next up, they will face the slumping Maryland Terrapins on Saturday.
**15. Penn State (-)**
Jim Knowles had to watch Jeremiah Smith pull off a jaw-dropping one-handed catch in front of his defense. Meanwhile, interim head coach Terry Smith is 0-2 since taking over for James Franklin.
**16. Purdue (+1)**
The Boilermakers would have moved higher had they stunned Michigan, but they have now lost seven straight games.
**17. Michigan State (-1)**
Michigan State is one of two Big Ten teams still winless in conference play at 0-6. They have a chance to regroup before facing in-state rival Penn State.
**18. Wisconsin (-)**
The season is slipping away for the Badgers. They face two ranked opponents next—Washington and Indiana—as Luke Fickell’s squad sits at 2-6 in conference play.
Stay tuned for more updates after Tuesday’s CFP rankings are released.
