Chicago Cubs Win Three 2025 Gold Gloves
The Chicago Cubs deployed one of the best defenses in baseball this season, earning multiple spots on the list of Gold Glove finalists. Among the Cubs nominees were Nico Hoerner, Pete Crow-Armstrong, Matt Shaw, Ian Happ, Matthew Boyd, and Carson Kelly.
The winners were announced tonight, and the Cubs took home three Gold Gloves:
**Nico Hoerner** – NL Second Base
**Pete Crow-Armstrong** – NL Center Field
**Ian Happ** – NL Left Field
The win marked Hoerner’s second Gold Glove at second base. For Crow-Armstrong, it was his first, and fans can expect many more to come. Meanwhile, Ian Happ secured his fourth consecutive Gold Glove Award.
There was never any doubt that Nico Hoerner would claim the award at second base. He was the best-rated defender by every conceivable metric, making it an easy call for voters.
The story was much the same in center field, where Pete Crow-Armstrong clearly outpaced his National League peers. As for Happ, while the vote may have been somewhat closer, his reputation as an outstanding defender in left field gave him a significant edge. Happ has been a defensive standout for years, and now he boasts four straight Gold Glove Awards as proof.
This defensive success underscores the Cubs’ commitment to excellence behind the scenes, and these awards highlight key contributors who helped make the Illinois-based team a fortress on the field throughout the 2025 season.
