How to respec your skill tree in ARC Raiders
Progression is crucial to any extraction shooter, and ARC Raiders is no exception. Everything you do topside brings its own host of rewards, boosting your raider’s capabilities for each subsequent run. However, sometimes you might choose the wrong skill, take a suboptimal path, or simply change your mind about your playstyle. Unfortunately, ARC Raiders makes respecing somewhat obscure and, ultimately, quite punishing.
### ARC Raiders Skill Tree Reset, Explained
Currently, there is no way to perform a partial skill reset or respec in ARC Raiders. You cannot simply click a button to redistribute your skill points into different branches or skills. This system may feel harsh, but it serves a purpose.
Instead of wiping the server and resetting all players, ARC Raiders employs a prestige system somewhat similar to that of Hunt: Showdown, another extraction shooter where progress can be “reset” in exchange for certain rewards. In ARC Raiders, these are called Expeditions.
At level 20, you unlock Expeditions, which are completed in five stages. Each stage requires completing specific objectives and gathering particular materials to advance. Once you’ve completed all five stages, you can send your Raider beyond the Rust Belt. This action permanently removes your Raider and resets your progression back to zero.
Each Expedition cycle lasts eight weeks, giving players 60 days to complete all stages and “prestige” their accounts. This system encourages careful planning and strategic decision-making throughout your progression in ARC Raiders.
