ARC Raiders climbs over 180k concurrent players in its day one debut
This week, Embark Studios released **ARC Raiders**, offering players a fresh multiplayer extraction shooter to dive into. And dive in they have — ARC Raiders’ first day on PC alone attracted more than 180,000 players, marking a strong start for Embark’s new IP.
The concurrent player numbers for ARC Raiders on PC are tracked on SteamDB, which began monitoring the game following its public debut this week. According to SteamDB, ARC Raiders has surpassed 188,000 players, with the number continuing to climb in the hours since launch.
Approaching 200,000 players is an impressive feat for a brand-new title, especially in a month crowded with heavy hitters like the latest Call of Duty and Battlefield releases. ARC Raiders is quickly winning over gamers with its engaging mix of looting, PvE, and PvP gameplay — catering to both solo players and groups alike.
Having tried the game during an early preview, I found it enjoyable to strategize and scavenge resources, whether playing solo or teaming up with squadmates. With this promising start, ARC Raiders could become a notable new entry in the multiplayer shooter genre.
