Resident Evil Requiem gets Switch 2-exclusive Pro Controller and Amiibo
Capcom had a lot to share about the upcoming **Resident Evil Requiem**, unveiling a 10-minute “Road to Requiem” video on early Wednesday evening. As the next installment in the Resident Evil series, the game is now available for pre-order, but that’s just the beginning of what the publisher has planned for fans.
During the presentation, Capcom revealed several exciting Resident Evil exclusives, including some special items coming to the **Nintendo Switch 2**. The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Resident Evil Requiem was first announced back at the September 2025 Nintendo Direct. While having a mainline Resident Evil title on a Nintendo console is big news, Capcom isn’t stopping there.
One standout announcement was the upcoming **Resident Evil Requiem Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller**. This special edition controller will launch alongside the game and features a gunsmith black design inspired by Resident Evil Requiem.
Perhaps even more exciting is the news that the very first **Resident Evil Amiibo** is currently in development. The Amiibo will be modeled after the game’s main protagonist, **Grace Ashcroft**, and is set to release in Summer 2026. However, no images of the Amiibo were shown during the presentation.
In addition, Capcom detailed the **Resident Evil Deluxe Edition**, which includes a variety of digital bonuses such as five costumes, four weapon skins, two screen filters, and two weapon charms.
With much more to come, Capcom also announced a special **Resident Evil Showcase** planned for early 2026, promising further insights and updates about Resident Evil Requiem.
