*RICHMOND, Va., Oct. 27, 2025* — The 12th Annual Healthy Churches 2030 Virtual Conference is set to take place November 17–19, 2025. This three-day event is dedicated to educating, empowering, and advocating for healthy behavior change and improved health outcomes within African American communities.
Presented by The Balm In Gilead, Inc., a non-profit organization with a 38-year legacy of addressing health disparities through faith-based initiatives globally, the conference promises a robust program designed for anyone seeking positive transformation in their wellness journey.
**Conference Mission and Focus**
“A key component of the conference is to provide faith-based organizations with the education and strategies needed to deliver vital programs and services within their congregations and communities,” said Dr. Pernessa C. Seele, founder of The Balm In Gilead. “Faith communities have an essential role to play in heightening awareness about chronic diseases, treatment innovations, clinical trials, and overall wellness.”
The Healthy Churches 2030 Virtual Conference is built on the principles of Healthy People 2030, a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services initiative.
