Original-Owner 2004 Mazda RX-8 Grand Touring 6-Speed
This 2004 Mazda RX-8 Grand Touring was originally purchased new by the seller from Bob Moore Mazda in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It now has 53,000 miles on the odometer and is finished in striking Velocity Red Mica (27A) over Black and Red leather interior.
Under the hood, the RX-8 is powered by a 1.3-liter Renesis two-rotor Wankel rotary engine, factory-rated at 238 horsepower and 159 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip rear differential, delivering a sporty and engaging driving experience. Power is sent to the rear wheels, and stopping power comes from four-wheel ventilated anti-lock disc brakes. The car also features Dynamic Stability Control with traction control for enhanced safety.
The exterior highlights include a power sunroof, rear spoiler, xenon headlights, fog lights, heated side mirrors, and rear-hinged freestyle rear doors. The vehicle rides on 18″ five-spoke alloy wheels, currently mounted with 225/45 Kumho Ecsta SPT tires that will need replacement soon. It’s worth noting that the rear bumper cover was repainted in 2006 following a minor backing incident in a parking lot. There are some paint chips on the front end and a few dings on the body.
Inside, the RX-8 Grand Touring offers a well-equipped and comfortable cabin. Seating surfaces are trimmed in Black and Red leather, with heated front seats and a power-adjustable driver’s seat for convenience and comfort. The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 10,000-rpm tachometer, complemented by a digital speedometer and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. Additional interior features include air conditioning, cruise control, a CD stereo, Bose sound system, and Homelink garage door opener. There are some minor cosmetic issues inside, such as cracks around the airbag cover on the right side of the dashboard.
Maintenance records show that the fuel pump and filter were replaced as recently as July 2021. Compression test results from September 2025 are available and can be viewed in the photo gallery below.
This RX-8 Grand Touring is offered with its original window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, service records, a clean Carfax report free of accidents or damage, and an Oklahoma title held in the name of the seller’s trust. The window sticker indicates initial delivery to Milo Gordon Mazda in Lawton, Oklahoma, and lists a total MSRP of $31,100.
Overall, this 2004 Mazda RX-8 Grand Touring represents a well-maintained example of Mazda’s unique rotary-powered sports car, ready for its next enthusiast owner to enjoy.
