How to call in a UAV – Battlefield 6
The Recon class in the game features a powerful UAV drone that players can call in to gain a tactical advantage. This drone spots and marks any enemy within 100 meters of your location for 60 seconds, providing valuable intel during intense multiplayer matches. However, unlocking and deploying the UAV mid-match requires some strategy and timing.
### How to Call in a UAV
To unlock the UAV, you need to max out the Recon training path during a multiplayer match. Once fully unlocked, you can call in the UAV by pressing the **6 key** on PC or by simultaneously pressing both bumpers on a controller (**RB + LB** for Xbox or **R1 + L1** for PlayStation).
### Understanding the Training Path
The training path, also known as the **Field Specs**, is displayed on the right side of your screen as a series of boxes. These boxes represent passive benefits that you unlock by earning XP throughout the match.
As you accumulate XP, the lowest box will begin to fill. When it fills completely, the box locks in, and you receive the associated benefit. After that, your XP progress moves on to filling the next box up the path until you reach the UAV box at the top.
### Tips to Manage XP Decay
One of the challenging aspects of unlocking the UAV is managing XP decay. XP progress in the current box slowly drains if you stop earning XP for a short period before locking it in. For example, if you’re halfway through filling the UAV box and don’t earn any XP for a while, your progress will start to drain, delaying the UAV unlock.
To maximize your chances of calling in the UAV, focus on consistent performance and earning XP regularly throughout the match. This way, you can steadily work your way up the Field Specs and gain that critical UAV support when you need it most.
