2025 F1 Mexican GP: Where to watch, timings, all you need to know
F1 is set for its second consecutive leg in the Americas with the Mexican Grand Prix lined up next in the final quarter of the 2025 Formula 1 season. This marks the second consecutive race weekend following the US Grand Prix, where Max Verstappen secured yet another victory, closing the gap to his rivals at the top of the championship standings.
The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez circuit is known for its long main straight and three DRS zones. Although the DRS zone on the main straight was reduced by 75 metres in 2024, it remains the primary overtaking spot on the track. Notably, the Mexican GP is held at the highest altitude of any current F1 race circuit, situated 2,285 metres above sea level.
Fans can watch the Grand Prix through the F1TV Subscription in available countries, which includes access to telemetry and race data. Alternatively, viewers in the UK can stream the race on Sky Sports F1, while in the United States, ESPN will provide coverage. The first practice session on Friday will be broadcast on ESPNU, with the remaining two practice sessions and qualifying shown on ESPNEWS. The main race on Sunday will be streamed on ESPN2.
**2025 Mexican Grand Prix Weekend Schedule (Central Standard Time, CST):**
**Friday, 24th October**
– Free Practice 1: 12:30 – 13:30
– Free Practice 2: 16:00 – 17:00

– Free Practice 3: 11:30 – 12:30
– Qualifying: 15:00 – 16:00
**Sunday, 26th October**
– Race Start: 14:00
The track action begins on Friday, 24th October at 12:30 PM CST. For many countries in the Eastern Hemisphere, this translates to early hours past midnight on the 25th of October.
The Mexican GP presents a unique challenge for drivers. Due to the high altitude, the air is less dense, which leads to an overall aerodynamic deficit for the cars. Despite having three long DRS zones, the cars’ overall speed is reduced, making overtaking more difficult for drivers who rely heavily on rear wing DRS activation.
Stay tuned for what promises to be an exciting and challenging race weekend at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez!
