Renewed fighting tests Gaza ceasefire and Israel briefly halts aid
JERUSALEM (AP) — Gaza’s fragile ceasefire faced its first major test Sunday as Israeli forces launched a wave of deadly strikes.
The Israeli military reported that Hamas militants had killed two soldiers, leading to the escalation. In response, an Israeli security official confirmed that the transfer of aid into the territory was halted.
This development threatens to undermine the recent truce and raises concerns about the potential for renewed violence in the region.
