Universal (NASDAQ: CMCSA) and Blumhouse’s *Black Phone 2* easily topped the weekend box office, opening to $26.5 million from 3,411 theaters, according to studio estimates compiled by Comscore. The horror sequel, featuring Ethan Hawke reprising his chilling role as The Grabber, also debuted strongly overseas.
