SAFE Alert issued for 62-year-old woman missing in Phoenix
PHOENIX — The Arizona Department of Public Safety issued a Safe Alert for 62-year-old Barbara Bennett Byrne on Wednesday. Authorities describe Byrne as 5-foot-6, weighing 145 pounds, with grey hair and blue eyes.
She was last seen on Thursday in the area of 3rd Street and Dunlap Avenue in Phoenix. Byrne suffers from a medical condition that causes her to become lost and confused, raising concerns for her safety.
Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to contact the Phoenix Police at 602-262-6151 or dial 911 immediately.
In Arizona, SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts as the system to notify the public about missing persons who are 65 and older or who suffer from dementia or developmental and cognitive disabilities.
