Hombale Films has announced that **Kantara: Chapter 1** will be released in IMAX format on **October 2**. The production house shared a poster on Instagram, promising viewers a “one-of-its-kind cinematic experience.” This release marks the film as the third Indian movie shot for IMAX, following the notable successes of *RRR* and *Pathaan*.

Fans can look forward to the official trailer, which is scheduled to premiere on **September 22 at 12:45 PM**. This unveiling builds anticipation for the sequel to the highly acclaimed *Kantara* (2022).
### A Cinematic Ambition Like No Other
Director of Photography Arvind Kashyap expressed excitement about the film’s immersive scale, revealing that several critical scenes were specifically shot for IMAX and PXL formats. Kashyap stated,
“Watching it on IMAX will be truly unparalleled — a one-of-its-kind cinematic experience.”

### A Massive Production Scale
*Kantara: Chapter 1* features one of the largest war sequences ever filmed in India. According to reports by Koimoi, this massive scene involved over **500 fighters** and **3,000 people** in total. The sequence was shot over nearly 50 days on rugged terrain within a specially constructed town sprawling 25 acres.
This ambitious scale underscores the filmmakers’ dedication to creating a visually stunning and immersive cinematic experience.
### Multi-Language Release
The film will be released in multiple languages, including **Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Bengali, and English**, ensuring a wide reach across diverse audiences.
