PBA: Tiongson, Norwood help Rain or Shine escape Meralco in OT
RODRIGUEZ, Rizal—Gabe Norwood scored a crucial tip-in late in regulation, helping Rain or Shine secure a come-from-behind 96-95 overtime victory over Meralco in the PBA Philippine Cup on Saturday at Ynares Center II.
This memorable play came just two days after Norwood announced his intention to retire at the end of the conference. Capitalizing on Adrian Nocum’s missed shot, Norwood’s timely tip-in proved to be a game-changer for the Elasto Painters.
