**Issues with Windows 11’s Dark Mode Are Finally Being Fixed**

Microsoft is officially addressing the long-standing dark mode inconsistencies in Windows 11. The tech giant began testing these improvements in the August preview builds of the operating system, and now it is rolling out updates to enhance dark mode consistency across various File Explorer actions such as copying, moving, and deleting files and folders.
### Improving User Experience with Dark Mode Across Dialogs
One of the most noticeable issues with dark mode in Windows 11 occurred when copying large files. Even with dark mode enabled, users would often see light mode dialogs, disrupting the immersive experience. With this latest update, Microsoft is changing that by ensuring dialogs related to copying, moving, and deleting files now adhere properly to dark mode settings. This update extends to multiple parts of the OS, providing a more seamless and visually consistent user experience.
### Future Plans for Dark Mode Enhancements
Microsoft is not stopping here. The company is actively working toward delivering a more consistent dark mode experience across other UI elements like progress bars, charts, confirmation and error dialogs, as well as prompts for skipping, overriding, and file selection.
Since first introducing a dark mode option in Windows 10 back in 2016, Microsoft has taken several years to fine-tune this feature. With these ongoing improvements, dark mode in Windows 11 is finally becoming a more polished and reliable experience for users across the operating system.
