14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi recently shared a heartwarming moment with Rajasthan Royals batting coach Vikram Rathour during a video call focused on fitness. The brief, playful conversation—captured in a video shared by the Royals on their official X handle—has since gone viral.
### A Playful Video Call from Australia
Joining the India U19 squad in Australia, where they are preparing for the second Youth Test against Australia U19 at the Great Barrier Reef Arena in Mackay, Suryavanshi caught up with Rathour over video call.
During their chat, Rathour asked how Vaibhav was doing and whether he was keeping up with his training routine. With a teasing grin, Rathour remarked, “Wo toh dekhne mein pata chalega. Aaja tu” (“We’ll only know when I see you. You come back first.”).
The lighthearted exchange brought smiles all around. Suryavanshi responded with a quiet but confident “yes,” accepting his coach’s playful challenge. Before signing off, he also greeted another member of the Royals’ coaching staff, showcasing his humility and team spirit.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s rise in cricket has been nothing short of extraordinary. He made history as the youngest player ever in Ranji Trophy history when he debuted for Uttar Pradesh at just 12 years and 284 days old.
His immense talent was recognized early on when Rajasthan Royals secured him at the IPL 2025 auction while he was only 13. Vaibhav wasted no time making an impact, announcing himself with a blazing 38-ball century—the second-fastest in IPL history and the fastest ever by an Indian batsman.
In the opening Youth Test against Australia U19, he continued his sensational form by scoring a remarkable 113 runs off just 86 balls. Vaibhav reached his century in only 78 deliveries, decorating his innings with nine fours and eight sixes.
