MANILA, Philippines — Water utility concessionaire Maynilad Water Services Inc. has been awarded the first Philippine Green Equity label. This milestone comes as regulators aim to deepen the local capital market by attracting more investors to sustainability initiatives.
In a letter addressed to Maynilad on September 26, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Markets and Securities Regulation Department confirmed the recognition. This marks a significant step in promoting environmentally responsible investments in the country.
