BSP expects 1.5% to 2.3% September inflation rate
general Article
MANILA, Philippines — The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said inflation may have picked up in September, projecting consumer price hikes to average between 1.5 and 2.3 percent. This comes as higher rice, fish, and fuel costs added pressure on prices.
The forecast follows August’s inflation rate, which stood at 1.5 percent—below the BSP’s target range of 2 percent to 4 percent.
