Entering its second century, NCAA out to widen playground
As the NCAA embarks on its journey into the second century, two clear goals have come into focus for the country’s oldest varsity league: to solidify its home base and to soar onto the global stage.
Season 101 kicks off this Saturday, with the NCAA aiming to cultivate a grassroots foundation that could nurture future Olympians. At the same time, the league is making a symbolic return to its roots—the very place where it all began.
