Italy leaves PH with more than just a trophy; ‘thank you,’ star Bottolo tells Pinoys
The Italians proved they were still the Kings of Volleyball as they ruled the FIVB Men’s World Championship for the second consecutive time. They outlasted the young Bulgarian side with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 17-25, 25-10 in front of a tournament-best crowd of 16,429 at the Mall of Asia Arena on Sunday.
This victory not only reinforced Italy’s dominance in the sport but also showcased their resilience and skill against a strong Bulgarian team. The energetic atmosphere and passionate fans contributed to an unforgettable championship finale.
