Indore News: Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Sonu Nigam To Receive Lata Award On Sunday; CM Yadav To Confer The Award
**National Lata Mangeshkar Award Ceremony and Music Evening Begins in Indore**
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The two-day prestigious National Lata Mangeshkar Award Ceremony and music evening commenced here on Saturday, featuring captivating performances by local artistes on the first day.
The event is being organized by the Culture Department in collaboration with the district administration and is taking place at the Lata Mangeshkar Auditorium in VIP Paraspar Nagar.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is set to present the National Lata Mangeshkar Award to the renowned music director trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and famous playback singer Sonu Nigam on Sunday.
According to reports, the programme will be presided over by Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, Minister of Culture, Tourism, Religious Trusts, and Endowments Department.
On Sunday, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy from Mumbai will be honoured with the National Lata Mangeshkar Award for the year 2024, while the acclaimed playback singer Sonu Nigam will receive the award for 2025.
Following the award ceremony, a musical evening will be organized where playback singer Ankit Tiwari and his team will deliver a soulful performance.
On the first day of the ceremony, the Lata Mangeshkar Light Music State Level Competition was also held, showcasing exceptional talent and paying tribute to the legendary singer.
