10k-Mile 2008 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe Indy 500 Pace Car Edition 6-Speed
This 2008 Chevrolet Corvette coupe is one of only 500 examples equipped with the exclusive Z4Z Indy Pace Car package, commemorating the 92nd running of the Indianapolis 500 on May 25, 2008. Originally delivered new to Elm Chevrolet Company in Elmira, New York, this striking Corvette was later sold on BaT in May 2022 and subsequently acquired by the current seller in July 2023.
With just 10,000 miles on the odometer, this car is finished in sleek black complemented by Ebony and Titanium Gray leather interior. Under the hood, it packs a robust 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission, delivering a thrilling driving experience. The car rides on staggered-diameter 18” and 19” five-spoke alloy wheels, wrapped in 245/40 front and 285/35 rear Goodyear Eagle F1 tires.
This Corvette is further enhanced with the Z51 Performance Package, which includes stiffer springs and stabilizer bars, revised shock absorbers, and larger cross-drilled brake rotors for improved handling and braking performance. Additional features include a limited-slip differential, a dual-mode performance exhaust system, a removable roof panel, xenon headlights, and a Z06-style rear spoiler with polished quad exhaust outlets.
The exterior design stays true to the Pace Car edition with green ribbon graphics on the hood and sides, Indianapolis Motor Speedway badges on the front fenders, Indy 500 door decals, a Chevrolet decal on the windshield, and pace car driver Emerson Fittipaldi’s signature decals on the quarter panels. A minor scratch is noted on the bottom of the front lip spoiler, but overall the car remains in excellent condition.
Inside, the Corvette offers a luxurious and driver-focused cockpit. The heated and power-adjustable bucket seats are upholstered in Ebony and Titanium Gray leather with Indianapolis Motor Speedway logos embroidered on each headrest. This example was optioned with the 3LT Preferred Equipment Group, which adds a six-disc CD stereo, driver seat memory, a head-up display, power-adjustable steering column, and side airbags.
Additional amenities include a Bose premium sound system, Keyless Access, cruise control, and dual-zone automatic climate control for comfort and convenience. The inside of the center console lid bears Emerson Fittipaldi’s signature and denotes this car as #415 of the 500 Indy Pace Car Edition examples.
The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer shows 10,000 miles total, with approximately 3,700 miles added by the current owner.
Factory documentation accompanies the sale, including the original laminated window sticker listing the initial delivery to Elm Chevrolet of Elmira, New York, as well as colors, equipment, options, and a total vehicle price of $59,090. A build sheet, manufacturer’s literature, official Indianapolis 500 memorabilia, and two keys are also included.
The Carfax report confirms the vehicle is free of accidents or other reported damage. It is important to note that there is currently a lien on the vehicle; the seller’s lender will need to be paid off before the title can be transferred to the new owner.
This rare 2008 Chevrolet Corvette Z4Z Indy Pace Car edition offers a unique combination of limited-edition heritage, striking aesthetics, and exhilarating performance—making it a highly desirable collector’s car for Corvette enthusiasts.
