温室ガス濃度、記録更新 化石燃料や山火事が影響―WMO発表

世界気象機関（WMO）は15日、主要な温室効果ガスである二酸化炭素（CO2）、メタン、一酸化二窒素の大気中濃度が、2024年に過去最高を更新したと発表しました。
この濃度上昇の背景には、化石燃料の消費の増加に加え、北半球や南半球での山火事などの自然現象も影響していると指摘されています。
世界気象機関の本部はスイス・ジュネーブに位置しており、今回の発表は現地で行われました。
