Water main break shuts down street in Costa Mesa
A water main break in Costa Mesa caused significant traffic disruptions on Monday afternoon.
The Costa Mesa Police Department reported on social media that the water main at the intersection of Baker Street and Randolph Avenue broke shortly before 1 p.m.
As a result, the intersection was temporarily closed in all directions to ensure public safety and allow repair crews to address the issue.
After a couple of hours, Baker Street reopened; however, Randolph Avenue remains closed as repairs continue.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes and stay tuned for further updates.
