Timberland’s New Limited-Edition 6-Inch Waterproof Boot Is Dressed Up Like a Brogue Shoe
Keeping track of Timberland’s numerous Premium 6-Inch Waterproof Boot variations is becoming a daunting task, with the VF Corp. owned-and-operated outdoor brand issuing new looks and material makeups on a near-weekly basis. Thankfully, for readers, FN has you covered with not only the latest releases, but the best styles to shop as we arrive at peak holiday shopping. The brand’s latest spin on the rugged work boot turned street style staple is one of the more formal renditions in recent memory. The just-released Heritage 6-Inch Waterproof Boot takes on the look of a brogue shoe with a wingtip toe and serrated, perforated edges. It’s a rather seamless crossover, especially given the smooth, full-grain leather construction of the dressy boots. Timberland says the brogue were “inspired by functional footwear born of necessity to take on the wet boggy ground of Ireland and Scotland” and despite their ornate detailing, the Heritage 6-Inch Waterproof Boot is very much equipped with all of the usual bells and whistles. Still fully protected from the elements, the boot features a waterproof membrane, 400 grams of toasty Primaloft insulation and a cushioned anti-fatigue footbed. And while the uppers of both the black and brown styles are tonal, they come packaged with alternate shoe laces olive green with the black and blue with the brown if wearers want to switch things up. Other recent variations of Timberland’s iconic boot include streetwear brand Supreme’s three-style patchwork collaboration, Italian boutique One Block Down’s “Water, Earth, Sky” collection and a Snipes spin on the outdoor brand’s signature tree logo. The boot also made headlines in November after an $85,000 Louis Vuitton collaboration with 18K hardware resurfaced on social media. As for the brogue-inspired Timberland Heritage 6-Inch Waterproof Boot, it’s available now in both black full-grain and medium brown full-grain colorways from timberland. com for $250 each.
