**Brush Fire Prompts Pre-Evacuation Warnings in Teller County**
A brush fire burning in Teller County has prompted pre-evacuation warnings for residents living between Florissant and Divide, according to the sheriff’s office.
The affected area includes the Highland Lakes subdivision and homes north of U.S. 24, between Cougar Canyon Point and Lower Twin Rocks Road. Sheriff’s officials issued alerts regarding the situation just before 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
Authorities report that the fire is burning north of U.S. 24, approximately halfway between Florissant and Divide. At this time, additional information about the size of the fire has not been released.
