SEC Filing Reveals Trump Media’s Bitcoin Holdings
**Trump Media and Technology Group Holds Over 11,500 Bitcoin Valued at $1.3 Billion**
Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG), the media company associated with former US President Donald Trump, now holds more than 11,500 Bitcoin, valued at over $1.3 billion. This disclosure marks the company’s largest confirmed crypto allocation to date and places it among the biggest public-sector corporate holders of Bitcoin.
### TMTG’s Bitcoin Holdings and Strategy
Earlier this year, TMTG accelerated its pivot toward cryptocurrency by formally adopting Bitcoin as a core reserve asset. At the time, the company explained that it turned to Bitcoin to protect itself from what it described as harassment and discriminatory treatment by financial institutions. This rationale aligns with a wider corporate trend whereby firms use Bitcoin to reduce perceived dependence on banks that can freeze, slow, or scrutinize accounts.
### Expanding Crypto Portfolio Beyond Bitcoin
TMTG’s cryptocurrency holdings extend beyond Bitcoin. The company also reported owning roughly 756 million Cronos (CRO) tokens, worth approximately $110 million. This substantial position reflects TMTG’s growing alignment with Crypto.com, a partnership that has already produced various crypto-focused initiatives including exchange-traded products and promotional tie-ins.
These efforts have positioned TMTG as a more active participant in the crypto economy, even though the company continues to face financial challenges.
### Financial Performance Amid Crypto Focus
Despite its increasing crypto investments, TMTG posted a net loss of $54.8 million in the third quarter of 2025, extending its streak of multi-million-dollar quarterly losses. This suggests that the company’s crypto-heavy strategy has thus far served more as a political and operational statement than as a source of near-term financial relief.
### Surge in Crypto Holdings Across Trump-Linked Entities
As TMTG increased its exposure to digital assets, other Trump-connected ventures expanded their crypto holdings as well, creating a broader cluster of politically affiliated crypto portfolios. Data from Arkham Intelligence reveals that several affiliated entities now hold substantial balances.
– Donald Trump personally holds approximately $861,000 worth of digital assets.
– World Liberty Financial, one of the largest Trump-associated projects, controls more than $5.7 billion in cryptocurrency.
– Additional holdings include $6.3 billion tied to Official Trump Meme, $19.65 million linked to Official Melania Meme, and nearly $30,000 associated with the Trump Cards collection.
### Political and Commercial Implications
These growing positions have coincided with an intensification of pro-crypto messaging from Trump-aligned circles and the former White House, influencing both the political environment and commercial incentives for these ventures to deepen their involvement in cryptocurrency.
Taken together, these holdings demonstrate a coordinated embrace of digital assets across Trump-linked entities, reflecting the administration’s broader effort to position crypto as both a strategic asset and a policy priority.
