Miami-Dade mayoral candidate Victor Rosario arrested in Miami after altercation with police
MIAMI (WSVN) – A Miami-Dade County mayoral candidate appeared in court one day after his arrest in Miami.
Victor Rosario, 50, was taken into custody following an altercation with a police officer in the Brickell area, according to authorities.
Video posted on social media captured a short pursuit involving Rosario, which ended near Southwest First Avenue and Ninth Street on Saturday.
Witnesses reported that Rosario had been shouting into a megaphone outside an apartment complex when an undercover officer confronted him.
Rosario now faces several charges, including aggravated battery on a police officer and disorderly conduct.
In court, he was granted a bond set at $10,300.
