‘I think we’re in an LLM bubble,’ says Hugging Face CEO Clem Delangue

There’s been much talk of an AI bubble as companies around the tech industry continue to invest billions into the technology, but one CEO doesn’t think that’s exactly right. Clem Delangue, the CEO of Hugging Face, says that he thinks it’s actually an LLM bubble that we’re witnessing, and he believes it’ll burst next year. Clem Delangue was speaking at an Axios event when he talked about the purported AI bubble, as reported by TechCrunch. “I think we’re in an LLM bubble, and I think the LLM bubble might be bursting next year,” he said. “But ‘LLM’ is just a subset of AI when it comes to applying AI to biology, chemistry, image, audio, [and] video. I think we’re at the beginning of it, and we’ll see much more in the next few years.” Delangue’s company, Hugging Face, is one of the leaders in machine learning technology, offering the tools that many in the AI space use to develop their own software services.
