How to Upgrade Grasp in Hades 2
Grasp dictates how many Arcana Cards you can equip in Hades 2. When you first start the game, you will have 10 Grasp, which is relatively low considering how quickly you can acquire the cards.
To increase your Grasp, you need to upgrade it using the in-game currency called Psyche. However, the location to upgrade Grasp isn’t immediately obvious. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it.
Where to Upgrade Grasp
Grasp is upgraded within the Arcana Card screen, which you access before starting another run through Erebus. When you enter the preparation area, select Mediate at the gate to open the Arcana Card selection screen.
In the Arcana Card screen, look to the top-right corner where your current Grasp value is displayed. You can spend Psyche here to extend your Grasp, allowing you to equip more cards or cards with higher costs.
Making the Most of Your Grasp
With an upgraded Grasp stat, you gain greater flexibility in customizing your loadout. You can either equip a larger number of cards, including many low-cost ones, or choose fewer but more expensive cards that offer powerful benefits. Ultimately, the choice depends on your playstyle and strategy.
How to Obtain Psyche for Upgrading Grasp
Upgrading Grasp requires a substantial amount of Psyche. Early upgrades cost about 45 Psyche each, but maxing out Grasp can cost thousands. You can collect Psyche through various methods:
- Purchasing from the Wretched Broker
- Using the Tablet of Peace Gathering Tool during runs
Be prepared to invest plenty of Psyche if you want to maximize your Grasp and fully optimize your Arcana Card loadout.
By upgrading your Grasp thoughtfully, you’ll enhance your overall effectiveness in Hades 2 and tailor your approach to suit your preferred combat style.
