Fox News: Don’t Talk About Health Care Costs, It’s A Trap!

JONES: I keep hearing this talking point from the Democrats that the next election is going to be about healthcare, and that the president has to solve that. I think that’s a trap.

The healthcare system is such a muddy mess. Instead, I believe the focus should be on affordability. The president needs to prioritize that. Don’t let them define the next election solely around healthcare.

When I talk to people, sure, some bring up healthcare, but the majority are more concerned about everyday expenses. They want to pay different prices at the grocery store. While gas prices have come down a little in some states, in others they haven’t.

What people are really talking about is being able to buy a house and manage daily living costs. Healthcare isn’t typically a day-to-day conversation for most.

So, don’t fall into that trap. It’s going to be a muddy mess if we do. Instead, focus on people’s day-to-day lives and what they can afford.
