Djokovic pushes through to Shanghai Masters quarterfinals
Novak Djokovic banished exhaustion and played through an ankle injury scare on Tuesday to secure a spot in the quarterfinals of the Shanghai Masters.
He defeated Spain’s Jaume Munar in a hard-fought match, with a scoreline of 6-3, 5-7, 6-2.
This victory keeps Djokovic on track as the favorite to claim a record-extending fifth title in the Chinese financial hub. Notably, several other top seeds have already been eliminated, increasing his chances of success.
