4 shot near Wrigley Field in Lakeview

Four people were shot early Sunday morning in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood, just blocks away from Wrigley Field, according to police.

Authorities responded to a shooting around 1:45 a.m. on the 3400 block of North Clark Street, near the area’s popular nightlife strip, the Chicago Police Department said in a statement.

Upon arrival, officers found four individuals who had been shot: a 29-year-old man shot in the arm, a 28-year-old man also shot in the arm, a 29-year-old woman shot in the leg, and a 25-year-old man shot in the shoulder. All four victims were hospitalized and are reported to be in fair condition.

Police stated that the shootings were carried out by an unidentified individual who exited a white pickup truck to fire at the victims before fleeing north. No arrests have been made at this time.

Detectives continue to investigate the incident as they work to identify and apprehend the suspect.
